Most of this type of backrests that can be found in the market have been designed with a horizontal stitching that is placed between the backrest and the lumbar support, so that fabrics do not crease. We managed to avoid this stitching and the backrest is smooth in both positions, generating only slight wrinkles when it is raised to the maximum.

Just like anything else at Fama, it has a hidden innovation, which does not affect the aesthetics and brings new features. We have designed an adjustable backrest system for two depths. As you all know, family members usually have different preferences and needs when it comes to seating. Even for the same person, the sofa is a piece which we use for different purposes, and there are certain activities which required more upright postures than others. Thank to this smart adjustable backrest system, it allows you to have two different depths in one sofa. A new extra-flat hidden mechanism created by Fama along with the new seat shapes, which offers new solutions to the market. Last but not the least, Kalahari has removable covers. We use the same system as Klee and Arianne Plus models.

Atlanta is the result of a research and design project which lasted longer than a year. The aim was to create a low backrest that could turn into a high one in a quick way, but not letting anyone imagine that this was possible. We have designed a very clever mechanism that allows us to hide a headrest in a conventional backrest. In the blink of an eye, we can take the headrest and place it on the top of the backrest. Many people would love to enjoy the comfort that these reclining mechanisms offer.However, they are reluctant to use these types of designs due to the aesthetic.With Atlanta, we have accomplished a very modern, contemporary design, which cannot be identified as a recliner sofa at first sight.

With only 82 cm of depth, it becomes the perfect model for small apartments or for rooms with small spaces. Its flexible back provides great comfort. In the modular version, we can change the chaise longue from left to right easily, since it is formed by a single module plus a footstool.

Both the You&Me and the sofa are decorated with a large number of scatter cushions which besides being an important aesthetic element, provide an incredible comfort and allow us to create great combinations of fabrics.

Despite not being a new model, in the 2016 Collection we created a new element, the Valentina VX module, slightly larger than the original curved module. With it we can make more versatile and usable compositions.
